openNick Jr show? Western Animation
I vaguely remember this show that I'm pretty sure was on Nick Jr., but the only thing I remember from it is that it had a Flash game or two on the Nick Jr. website. It was space-themed, and the main character was a young boy with blonde hair and a blue spacesuit; he rode around in a flying saucer, I think? Also, it was 2D-animated.
Edited by Storygirl000resolved Bug School Western Animation
An animated short set in a school for insects, but they're cartoony and sort of humanoid.
From what I recall, the main character is a smaller bug, like a brown fly. I think he had spiky hair and was wearing a yellow T-shirt and red sneakers. He also played the flute. He's picked on by these other bigger bugs/students, but the flute bug saves the bully bugs from being under a glass or from some peril. It's a bit fuzzy.
There was also this female bug teacher who was attractive and could sing. She was like a light purple, with big black hair and wearing a short black dress.
Judging by the animation and clothes the bugs were wearing, I'm guessing early 1990s was when it made.
openA cartoon series about a bear who tries to renovate his house with disastrous results Western Animation
- Cartoon was aired during 1990s.
- Likely was a Universal Studios cartoon, but I might be wrong.
- The main character was a bear with a family.
The typical plot went along the lines of:
- Wife wants repairs done/additions made to the house.
- The bear balks at the price tag and declares he will do it himself.
- A chain of increasingly disastrous failures ensue.
Edited by Vindicarresolved Orange and Purple things - Nickelodeon Western Animation
A series of 1 minute shorts that popped up between shows on Nickelodeon in the early 2000s. Not sure if they only showed up in the UK Nick. They were CGI and were about these two odd creatures - one orange, the other purple - that I think had trumpet-shaped snouts. They spoke in squeaky noises and it was focused on slapstick humour.
resolved Captain No-Beard (bear with me) Western Animation
I remember this show clearly, but even though I know the name, the era and channel it was aired, I can't find any trace of it online.
The show was called Captain No-Beard (unrelated to the Wiggles character) and was about a dorky-looking pirate captain* who had a burly crew with little respect for him. He'd go on various adventures, though being sort of wimpy and nice, he was completely incompetent at piracy. He also had a waifish, blonde, girlfriend in a white dress who lived in the town the pirates docked in. I don't recall there being an antagonist on the show, but there may have been.
The art style was storybook-like; colourful with round character designs, aimed probably at a 7-8 year old demographic. Also, it was traditional 2D animation and digitally painted.
I should also point out that I watched this on the UK version of Discovery Kids, via the Sky TV network, circa the early to mid 2000s. I don't know if the programming was that different from other countries, but I thought I'd mention.
It could very well be that the show was made in continental Europe and might have been under a different name, but that's just a theory.
If any of this sounds familiar, I'd appreciate some assistance.
Thanks!
- Short black curly hair, red bandana with white polka dots, had a face like Jim Jinkin's Doug, black & white striped shirt, I think he also wore a waistcoat and raggy-ended trousers and no shoes. He was also shorter than everyone around him.
resolved stop motion short - graffiti artist in jail draws jungle Western Animation
Saw this on TV once years ago. I'll lay down some basics: British production (I think), stop-motion clay animation, 1990s.
This young guy is spraying graffiti on a wall and gets caught by a police officer. He ends up in a jail cell in a stripey prisoner uniform. He then uses chalk(?) to draw a jungle on the back wall of his cell, kicks off his clothes and starts to swing on a vine into the jungle scene. Cuts to a shot of a passing moustachoied guard barely noticing what's going on in the cell. There may be more to this, but that's as far as I remember.

What was that episode where Lisa is in a car and a woman asks for her to sit on her lap?
openStop-motion snow Western Animation
I have vague memories of something I watched while I was in the hospital as a kid. I think it was stop-motion, and it involved a bunch of little robots (all toys based on WALL•E, I think) going to watch falling snowflakes, with a chunk of the runtime dedicated to showing those intricately-detailed snowflakes fall up close.
openBoy with superpowers from eating jelly beans Western Animation
Stop motion from the 90s or early 00s about boy who would transform into a hero by swinging around on a hills hoist and gained powers from eating jelly beans with different colours giving him different powers.
He wore various pouches containing the different types of jelly beans. There's a bit when he is Strapped to a Rocket and has get a jelly bean out whilst his arms are bound.
Pretty sure it's Australian
Nothing to do with A Boy and His Blob
resolved Cartoon with a segment about the "black chip at the bottom of the bag" Western Animation
I remember there being a cartoon with a segment where the characters discuss the "black chip at the bottom of the bag" regarding the, well, charred black, usually extra flavorful potato chip frequently found as you get down to the crumbs of the bag.
I feel like they may have been in competition of who got to eat it, possibly describing it as having "absorbed the flavors of all the other chips" (or a line like that), and I feel like when someone finally did eat it, they went on a Mushroom Samba type of trip.
Tried Googling with different word combos but haven't found anything. Possibly an old Nicktoon? TIA!
openAnimated black and white Retraux commercial with a spaceship Western Animation
Several years ago (early 2010s) I remember seeing this black and white animated commercial .I think it was a commercial for insurance. It was animated in a style similar to Popeye or Bendy and throughout the commerical the characters were singing.
The commercial ended with the characters flying in a rocketship to the moon (or whatever).
Can someone please tell me the name of the commercial?
Edited by monkeyheroineopenNo Title Western Animation
A cartoon that was on TV; going by how long I remember it being it must have been a TV show rather than a movie, but if it was a series then I only ever saw one episode. Could even have been just a short. In terms of timeframe, it must have been in the late 90s: I had it taped along with the Christmas Episode of X Men, if that helps. The cartoon I'm looking for might also have been Christmassy.
The one thing I'm absolutely certain of is the plot: it was really snowy and a character left the house for a walk and fell through some ice into the cold water, the other characters rescued them by all co-operating to pull them out.
More uncertain: I think it was something similar to The Brave Little Toaster, because I have kind of conflated it with that movie in my memories. I think the characters were household appliances like in that movie, and the hero was a torch (edited to clarify: I mean an electronic torch; Americans would call it a flashlight). Or maybe they just had a torch, but I'm pretty sure a torch figured, as did its batteries. The torch might have been used to reach down to the person in the water.
This one has been bothering me for a long time; any help would be much appreciated.
Edited by IfOnlyopen(Late 2000s-Early 2010s?) Flash cartoon in school setting Western Animation
I have a memory from long ago of a cartoon (almost certainly a Flash-animated one) on TV (no idea what channel). I remember almost none of it, but I do clearly remember one specific bit: the main character and possibly one of his friends are being chased around by a bully character inside of a school on go-karts or something similar. The main character’s nerdy friend is serving as a Voice with an Internet Connection, and sets off the fire sprinklers to slow down the bully. We then see a shot of the two karts making a turn around a round room, entering from the left, as the sprinklers go off. I could provide a visual reference if needed.
Edited by jandn2014resolved Weird cartoon on DVD Western Animation
Basically my nan had dozens of DV Ds me and my siblings used to watch when I went over to her house. They were mostly from late 90s to mid 2000s (Sonic Underground, Ant bully, Digimon adventure). One of these shows I cannot remember the title of, and have not seen at all since. It was about a boy and a girl I think. I'm pretty sure they were brother and sister. I don't exactly remember what they look like, but they gave off raggedy Ann / Andy vibes (similar colour scheme). There was also a professor character, who had a white shirt, a red vest, a blue graduation cap (I think), with white air and a long, rectangular, postman-pat like head. We wore round glasses, and had a cylindrical nose. I think there may have also been some yellow on him, but I am unsure. There was also a 'mascot' character. The kind with a really simple design that pretty much spoke in gibberish. I think he just white, small and fluffy. With that cereal-mascot face. He had no interesting features. No ears or tail or anything. Just stubby arms and legs, and a face. There were probably other characters, but I have no clue what they look like. The only episode that I can remember was one where one of the siblings (the girl I think) wanted to grow some flowers, so the professor guy made a greenhouse for her, as well as some fertiliser. The mascot guy ate or like bathed in the fertiliser and ending up becoming a giant or something. I don't remember how this plot actually concluded.
One thing to add is that this DVD was likely made in the UK, but it's possible it never aired on TV, since I can't find any promos for it.
I hope that I can actually find out what show this is one day. So, if anyone on here can help me find it, that'd be great :)
All the best
resolved Christmas special with flamingos Western Animation
A Christmas special I saw part of in the mid-00's, I think it had a colored pencil or watercolor aesthetic. What I remember is they sang a version of 12 Days of Christmas, only they stopped after 5, replaced golden rings with flamingos, and ended the song with a shot of a family eating all of the gift birds for dinner, followed by the kids in the framing device crying loudly. I think it was on Nicktoons Network but I'm not certain.

If someone can find me this show I’ll actually be so happy, not knowing what it is keeps me up some nights. I remember very little about it
3d animated Main character might’ve had pink hair and space buns She had a small companion The villain of the show were white haired twins I remember a gong being at the main characters house or something so possibly china themes, as well as a bamboo forest being where she lives
It was one of my childhood shows, and I wanted to see if I could introduce it to my niece if I found it again. I first saw it on Youtube in like 2015-2017? I believe it was a TV aired series, though.
The show was a cartoon about a girl who landed on some type of planet I believe. She was short and had gray hair, clothes, and antennas, which I believed changed colors depending on her emotion. On the planet was also several (Around 10) tiny creatures, each were colored to represent an emotion, and they also had the same emotion they represented. In one of the episodes that I vaguely remember, I'm pretty sure the tiny pink creature got stuck in some type of sandpit that slowly pulled her into it. Eventually she was discovered by the rest of the gang and they pulled her out, it was a very odd episode from what I remember.
If it helps at all, the show is not 'Mysticons' or 'Space POP' as I was recommended those two a lot.
